Triple Beam Advisors
Transaction Advisory, Real Estate, Cannabis

Devan McLaren founded Triple Beam Advisors with a singular vision: to bring institutional-grade M&A and financial advisory discipline to the cannabis industry — a market long underserved by advisors with the credibility and rigor that serious operators and investors demand.

His advisory practice is built on a foundation established through DJM Consultancy, which he has led as Principal since 2018. Over the course of his career, Devan has been instrumental in underwriting and advising on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $1 billion — encompassing debt, private and public equity, and M&A across multiple asset classes and industries including Real Estate, Consumer Products, Healthcare, and Emerging Markets.

Prior to founding DJM Consultancy, Devan served as a Senior Analyst with the Fiore Group, where he specialized in Private Equity and Venture Capital investments across real estate, entertainment, energy, technology, and retail sectors. That foundation in institutional investment analysis — evaluating businesses, underwriting risk, and structuring capital — continues to define the rigor Triple Beam brings to every engagement.

Devan’s approach to advisory is built on a simple conviction: that the quality of strategic advice should not be a function of company size. Mid-market cannabis operators and real estate developers deserve the same analytical precision and strategic clarity that the largest institutional players receive — and that is what Triple Beam delivers.

Associate Partner &
Director of Partnerships
Baltimore, Maryland
U.S. Market Expansion, Cannabis VC, ESOP Advisory

Eduardo Cabral joined Triple Beam Advisors as its first U.S. hire, charged with building and leading the firm’s American market presence. His unique combination of cannabis venture capital experience, social-impact private equity, and cooperative finance expertise makes him an exceptional partner for operators navigating the complex U.S. cannabis landscape.

Earlier in his career, Eduardo was a core contributor at Bengal Capital, where he helped deploy over $200 million across seed stage, growth equity, and hedge fund strategies. Bengal Capital’s portfolio included some of the cannabis industry’s most recognized names — Green Thumb Industries, Grassroots, Holistic Wellness, and Jetty Extracts. That experience gave Eduardo an inside view of what institutional cannabis investors look for, how deals get done, and how operators can best position themselves for capital.

Following his tenure in private equity, Eduardo pivoted toward social impact, supporting the largest worker-owned home healthcare business on the West Coast and consulting on employee-ownership conversions for businesses across multiple sectors. This work deepened his expertise in cooperative finance, ESOP structuring, and stakeholder-aligned capital structures — a skillset that has become increasingly relevant as cannabis operators seek to build durable, employee-engaged businesses.

A Harvard graduate, Eduardo brings analytical rigor and a network spanning cannabis operators, institutional investors, and social-impact capital providers across the United States. He is based in Baltimore, Maryland, and leads Triple Beam’s U.S. partnership development and client origination.

Vinny Jawanda

Vinny Jawanda

Director of Operations
Calgary, Alberta
Cannabis Advisory, Real Estate, Transaction Structuring

Vinny Jawanda is the Director of Operations at Triple Beam Advisors, where he plays a central role in driving execution, client delivery, and firm-wide coordination across all cannabis advisory and M&A engagements. He brings a rare combination of financial modeling precision, transactional experience, and operational rigor that makes him a trusted partner for operators, developers, and investors navigating consequential decisions.

Vinny’s career reflects a deliberate progression through high-stakes, transaction-intensive industries. He began in the construction materials sector, participating in multiple successful mid-market transactions, before moving into insurance M&A where he executed bolt-on acquisitions and sharpened his expertise in financial modeling, regulatory literacy, and deal structuring. He subsequently transitioned into real estate development with one of Calgary’s leading high-rise developers, working on landmark office-to-residential conversion projects and multi-family developments requiring deep expertise in feasibility analysis and capital structuring.

In real estate, Vinny has been instrumental in the underwriting and advisory of over $6.4 billion CAD in development projects across Canada — working with some of the country’s largest developers on multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, and large-scale master-planned developments. He brings the same institutional rigor to the U.S. cannabis sector, where he works extensively with operators across retail, cultivation, and manufacturing — building the financial models and analytical frameworks that drive valuations, transaction advisory, and capital raises.

He has also led financial analysis and feasibility modeling for economic development initiatives with Indigenous communities across Canada — work that reflects both his analytical depth and his commitment to equitable, community-aligned investment. Vinny combines strong technical modeling expertise with a hands-on operational mindset, ensuring clients receive clear, actionable insights at every stage of a transaction.
